Pretty rifle, I have been tempted to mimic that with a 10/22. Only downside to that setup is the fact that you will not likely notice the accuracy difference between light and heavy barrels with iron sights. My wifes standard Savage MKII with accutrigger will put bullets into 1 hole all day at 50 yards with a little old Weaver K4.

Yeah the Savages are quite accurate. I went with the SR because eventually I am going to go the NFA route with a can.

The rear sight isn't too far away from your eye? It looks like it might be... The Tech Sights are great! I'll probably have those or something very similar on just about every rifle of mine.
