Do I just swap out the barrel and get anew mag and ammo? Or is there more to it? Does the firing pin need to be adjusted?
Be cautious on this conversion!
the switch from 9 to 357 sig is a barrel and mag, no problem
A g29 is a 10mm pistol, the rim and base diameter are 10.85 and 10.81 mm respectively. The G30 is a .45 ACP pistol, the rim and base diameter is 12.2 and 12.1 mm respectively. You need a new slide and barrel and mag. The frame is the same and rails will fit the slide, but the case sizes require a different slide.
This is false. I have ran my G30 with a KKM Precision 45-10mm conversion barrel and G29 magazines for 6 years. You do not need a new slide. I've never had a problem with extraction or ejection using the G30 slide and conversion barrel for 10mm. The case sizes do not require a different slide. You need a new slide and barrel and mag.
