Is ammo supply shrinking again?

Meh - it's not terrible. I stopped by the local Wally world and bought 3 100-round boxes of CCI Mini-mags at around 3:30pm on a Saturday - they stock the shelves early in the morning.

They still had about 15 more sitting behind the counter.

Since I reload everything else .22LR is about the only ammo I really buy outright but it's gotten much better in the last year and still seems to be coming in locally.

shelves are full around full of ammo, reloading components, powder most all in stock, .22 is still hit or miss
but .22 seems to of become its own animal anymore

I'm curious how many in CA are buying all the ammo they can find & afford right now.

I think most serious shooters already have their "hoard" in place, they're mostly just trying to maintain. The last shortages came, I suspect, in large part from a big group of shooters moving from a just-in-time purchasing approach to an I'm-the-warehouse approach. Not a whole lot of people left to make that transition now, so a shortage may be a bit harder to spark this time around.

Or not. I could be wrong. But I hope I'm right. Shortages are bad for the gun community.
Some people just never learn. As sure as the sun rises in the east, if there's a shortage, some of the same people with be moaning about it as they look at empty shelves, again.

Plenty of ammo available, plenty of powder, Decent amount of primers, shelves full of bullets. No shortage now..... I bought $2.99 boxes of 22 ammo today. Cheap federal, but a couple of dollars less than anything else.

Plenty of ammunition and components here. Not always exactly what you want, but I would say things are pretty normal. Bought 1lb of Reloder 22 today for rifle load development. Ammunition except .22LR all on shelves.

Two weeks ago, SGAmmo sent me an E-mail that due to so many orders it would take them a week to ship new orders. Ordered 2K 9mm of Selior Belot yesterday that shipped today. Good price too, $199 a case.

I would say the scare is over. But you should be buying for the election. If Hillary wins things are going to go crazy. The election is in 5 months, buy it now when the supply is good and as cheap as it gets.
