I get a gun from my wife for Christmas almost every year. I would usually give a list and she would pick one from the list. One year she said she did not need a list. Long story short she bought me a Pedersoli Quigley rifle in 45/70 total surprise. I think I have the best wife I the world she is taking care of me now after a total knee replacement I Han on Tuesday.
Is anyone reluctant to give a gun as a gift?

I've given several over the years to relatives and very close friends. I agree with others here that being selective is important in gifting firearms.
It's just not the same as a GPS or a radar detector!
