Is Basing Choice of College on Regional Gun Laws Foolish?

If someone can get into an Ivy/Stanford/Caltech level school, I'd go as they'll open doors other schools don't as frequently. Beyond that while there are obviously differences in quality and perception the differences are in my experience much smaller than the differences between in state tuition and private/non-resident tuition. There are rare exceptions like William and Mary that are bargains for their residents, but generally those are few and far between. Also keep in mind that even in friendly states many schools are in the more anti parts of that state.
