I like it. Brass reloads well, and the 50 round trays are made of plastic, with a nice foam pad to hold them still. I reuse the boxes as much as I do the brass.

I clean out Walmart of Blazer Brass 9mm everytime I go and they have it in. Its cheaper than the WWB, and works for what I need it to. Range fun.

I don’t touch it.

I won’t let Blazer to be used in any of my pistols/revolvers. It’s has a very inconsistent OAL (overall length), a lot of the time this can be observed by the naked eye. The only thing besides price it has going for it is that is burns somewhat clean.

My humble 1/50th of $1:

Blazer Aluminmum worked well in my KP-90 Ruger, Blazer Brass good in all my .45ACP shootin' irons. My Springfield 1911's seemed to cycle a bit slower with the AL Blazer

The .357Mag Blazer AL was exactly that in my very short barrel Vaquero..seemed to have a lot more muzzle flash than WWB or Magtech.

Overall, reasonable quality ammo, nothing outstanding, but OK, although the .357Mag stuff was a bit 'dirty'.

Very true. I mic'ed them (9mm) and it varies wildly. Setback and improper bullet seating is also an issue. I've had a few bullets cocked noticeably to the side, seems to happen 1-2 times in a box, every time.

Wal-mart managers don't care about inconsistent length, but they do care about product liability when bullets are crooked and damaged looking. I am responsible for having them pulled from local stores (product alert), until a rep. came to investigate.

Getting a wal-mart manager to do something is like pulling teeth, even if there is actually a problem.

I've put several thousand rounds of the cheapest aluminum blazer through my 1911 and have not had one single issue. I even used it to "break in" the gun. Aren't 1911's supposed to be the most finicky things ever? Guess I'm just lucky.

The Al 9mm and 45 ACP have worked just fine through 1000s of rounds in my Glocks and 1911.

I prefer it to WWB. Never had a problem with it in .45ACP, .40, .38, or .357. The .357 is somewhat easier-shooting than full-power loads, more like a strong .38 +p.

The OAL variability would be especially troubling in .40 since those rounds in 180gr don't have much wiggle room before too much setback creates an overpressure situation. If I were buying it for a .40 now (haven't owned one in years) I'd definitely mic the rounds in each box to be safe.

I have shot thousands and thousands of Blazer Brass over the years... Mostly in 45ACP. Around here, I used to be able to buy 45ACP Blazer Brass for $9.99/50. WWB was always more expensive. In 9mm they seemed about the same.

Now, with ammo prices up, I reload. And I did (luckily) save some of my Blazer Brass... It reloads well. The 9mm can have tight primer pockets, but I like the product even more now that I reload :)

Blazer BRASS

Blazer Brass is good stuff (in .357, at least) -- and quite hot, too. I've never used their aluminum stuff, tho.

i agree blaser brass is the better of the 2 and i have had no issues with it, in 9mm, .40, and .45, the aluminum case is ok and i have shot 1000rds minimum of it in my xd service model without any issues.

I've shot tons of the aluminum cased stuff.

Not super accurate but I've never had a single failure of the stuff in 10mm, .40S&W, .357 or .45Colt.

I have shot many thousands of rounds of blazer and never had an issue that I would blame the ammo for. It is always a good buy in my book.

About the overall lenght...clearly the ammo isn't consistent, but it still fires without failure every time. And those who don't use it, but give no reason why, is it because you think it's to cheap, do you reload, or do you shoot for accuracy all the time.

I bought 3 boxes of blazer brass to take to the range when I bought my Kimber 1911...Big mistake...FTF about every 10 rounds. I stopped shooting it after about 100 rounds and switched over to some WWB and Monarch and I haven't had a single FTF in about 1000 rounds now. I wont touch the stuff anymore.

I've shot loads of AL and brass in 9, 40, and .45 with never a problem. Picked up some brass .45 acp at WM today for $15.97. Shot some of the AL in my Kahr CW45 last week and it functioned perfectly and the Kahrs are supposed to be kind of finicky. I buy it when I can find it.

Thanks everyone I am going to the range on wed.I normally shoot wwb or rem umc at the range.I can get it for about 1.50 less per 100 than wwb not a big deal but I will see what shoots better.

I've got a few thousand of both aluminum and brass through my handguns and never had a problem with it. My pistols seem to get filthy every time I shoot, so I don't pay attention to whether it's cleaner or dirtier than any other brand or my reloads.
