I should ask my GF if she would be offended if I got an American flag tattoo on manly equipment.
I cannot comprehend how someone could have a problem with this. I mean seriously? This is really up for debate?
It seems pretty damn pro-American to me.
You think anybody wants a roundhouse kick to the face while I'm wearing these bad boys? Forget about it!

And, if a flag touches the ground, it needs to be disposed of properly.
The flag should never touch anything beneath it, such as the ground, the floor, water, or merchandise.
The flag, when it is in such condition that it is no longer a fitting emblem for display, should be destroyed in a dignified way, preferably by burning
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
This is why I don't have a problem with flag burning. It is easy to defend and protect those who you agree with. It is a the true test of a man if he can defend the rights of those who turn his stomach.
The display of the flag in this manner or that in relation to respect or disrespect is a matter of subjective personal opinion. The quote above guarantees it or at least it should.
I think it depends. As an ex soldier, I wouldn't have any qualms with a soldier doing it. They have volunteered to die for that flag
