Is the Marlin 1894 tapped on top of the receiver for mounting a peep sight (like a Williams)?

There are 4 holes drilled and tapped in the receiver for scope mount(s), Williams sights use two of them.
Ok, so I guess it's the same as the 336 (I have a Williams FP on it and love it). I think I'm going to take a look at an 1894 in 357.

My 1894FG only had 1 hole at the rear of the receiver... I had to have it drilled and tapped for the 2nd hole to mount my Williams on it.

EDIT: NO! It had 4 holes, but the position of them wouldn't allow me to mount the Williams without it hanging over the hammer... I had a hole drilled and tapped to move the sight forward.

Jmorris, looking at your photo, I'm guessing your 1894 doesn't have the crossbolt safety? It seems like using the 2 rear factory taps would cause interference, blocking the safety on the left side. It's been a while (20 years) so I forget why I did that... all I know is I didn't like the initial mounting position. I do not use the safety... it's a moot point with me.
