Is now a bad time to be selling guns?

Also...the rifles I've sold lately that were close to or above $1000 have been tough sales. I gave up and traded for a rifle of equal value. Same end result, I get a new toy. :)

@ Rellascout - That always did seem kinda odd to me, Obama never really discussed gun control during the campaign but the second he was elected it was like people thought Paul Helmke had been elected. Granted Obama had some pretty stupid things to say earlier on, but seemed to learn a lesson or two when he decided to run.

And many, many people made a whole ton of money off of that scare. I for one won't be one of them if it happens again. Sooner or later, what comes around goes around.

For a buyer's market, I sure have seen a lot of ridiculously high prices lately.
Just today, I saw a Colt MKlll .357 for $850. No box, no papers.
And look at what some people are paying for Pythons. All I can figure is they are going on the bigger fool theory.

depends what and where your selling. in california "off list" handguns that are desirable, pre lock smiths, colt pythons, older colt 1911. sellers market. can pretty much name a price. i have seen delta elites go for almost 2k. plain 29-2 4 and 6 inch S&W can command 1000+ so its all relative. tha bing said i know i guy trying to sell a LRB m14 tanker mostly usgi with 1000 rounds of belgian and a few mags and goodies 2350. im trying to justify it to myself...
