What are you selling during this panic?

Last summer I got real smart (?) and bought a hot rod , a '54 Chevy pick-up with a '74 Camaro drive train & front end. Lots of fun but pretty Bubba'ed , needs corrective surgery.

Handguns I have not shot in a long time are the funding source , sold 4 in the course of 6 weeks , a S&W 60 dash something , an Interarms PPK and 2 WWII era shooters. All local sales , $1000 profit after 3-5 years of ownership , about 50% growth.

Who says guns are not an investment?

Some say NEVER sell any guns --- I still have a satisfying selection of firearms and a really cool truck. I am happy.

I've been curious what people are selling during this panic. My nephew had some Glocks he didn't want anymore so decided that now might be a good time to sell. I helped him sell several guns, which sold quickly. In the process we sorted thru his ammo stash. He had about 800+ rounds of 9mm, which, as you know, is selling for crazy prices. But, I suggested he keep them.
I've been selling guns (and buying too), but I've been doing that for years. The panic hasn't effected me much, except when finding reloading components. Planning a tour today of all my favorite gun haunts, just to see what's out there. So what have you guys been up to?
Consigned my Glock 26..standard, few extra mags-sold for $600
Mossberg Maverick 12g, no extras-sold for $350
Both son's consigned their Glock 43s..both sold for $500(all 3 of us bought new Glock 48s, BTW)..

Yup, seller's market out there right now.

Nothing we have bought is for sale. We own what we want or need only. We don't buy extra things we don't need ,so we have nothing for sale.

I haven’t sold anything yet but most everything I own is for sale. During the last panic I sold a Dillon 650 for $1840, it was an auction so there was at least one other that was willing to pay almost that much.

One thing is for sure, one would much rather be a seller than a buyer, right now.

All can say is if you've been considering selling any firearm for any reason before this, now would be a great time to do it.

Left over ammo from a gun you no longer have or plan to replace, ditto.

Not looking to sell anything, although I probably should. I have way to much stuff and guns I have not shot in years.
Other than the little red dog to the left, everything has a price.

Probably going to sell my High Standard Mark IV 22 mag snub. Looks great. Accuracy is okay with the right ammo. Have multiple grips for it. Bought it for my older years in case I couldn't handle recoil anymore for some reason. Really tried to like it.

But that awful one ton trigger pull is not going to be copacetic with older hands! Oh my God is it terrible! And this is coming from a guy who doesn't care about the trigger on his Saiga. Or a FEG High Power WITH the mag disconnect still in. I'll never figure out why they go for high bids on Gunbroker.

Everything else I'm keeping. Cleaned house awhile back of stuff I didn't want. Gave a lot to the stepson for him and his daughters.

Now I'm looking at .32 revolvers. Have to get two for me and the wife before fixed retirement income time. At least that's the excuse. ;)

Traded 1# of powder for another 1# of powder. That about covers it... ;)
I did recently have an inquiry about an SKS that I'd offered to a friend over a year ago. Seems NOW they are interested. Don't have the heart to tell them how much asking prices have gone up lately though.
Think I'll keep it for now though. o_O

Ruger boat paddle M77MKII in .308 win.
Since my #1 likes a factory load and suggest further testing, and since I got an old Sako Forester, my "extra" deer gun is on the block.
Taking it to a shop for consignment Sunday.

I can't help but wonder how many gun shops across the country have a truckload of people wanting to sell them their entry level $500 ARs for six or seven hundred (or more)...

I'm sitting pat. Maybe buying a couple.

Due to the pandemic I will be selling just what I normally would, nothing. I don't care what minimal profits could be made. That doesn't interest me at all, and I am not some wealthy guy, I just like my firearms whether I use them regularly or not.

250 rds. of 9x19 mm ammo.
Zero profit: sold it for the same price a friend sold it to me, Three Months ago--$75.

I sold it because so much more "reserve ammo" has been stored here over the last few years.

This helped pay for a classic S&W 908 3rd. Gen., 9mm Compact, semi-auto (Gunbroker).

Lost about 2K this month due to Covid garbage.
Was hoping to have a few bucks laying around for post holiday goodies that show up at my LGS.
Oh well.

Don't need anything.
Watch a minty 686 6" pre lock show up at great price.

Just my luck.

Now that kinda surprises me .o_O
I've always heard that older used scopes are not worth anything..?
Surprises me too. I've tried selling numerous scopes in the past with zero success. My friend took several scopes to a swap meet at my rifle range and had to practically give them away. If I could fetch good money, I would sell most of my scopes and upgrade. The quality of glass, reticle design, turrets, and long distance options is way ahead of yesterday's options. Doesn't mean many older scopes are not completely reliable, as evidenced by lots of dead deer, but if I'm buying, it gonna be older used scopes.

Meant to say "It AIN'T gonna be older used scopes.

I traded some 22 ammo to my LGS for a rifle I thought I needed. It didn't even slightly scratch the surface of my 22 cache. BTW, the rifle was a Ruger 44 magnum bolt action stainless with a wood stock.
