Is the .380 enough?

As an officer in NY, Soldier and shooter....I used to think that the .380 was a BS caliber. However, as I remind the shooters I instruct, shot placement is everything. I tried different mediums(Ballistic gelatin, carcass of a pig) and found that if you stoke up a Walther or Kel-Tec .380 with PowerBall ammo...the end results are impressive. So I now use a Fobus paddle holster slipped into my boot top for the Kel-Tec P3AT. Considering its purpose is as a last resort weapon...at contact range I have no doubt that those little beauties are gonna make some coronary jello!!

A new shooter in our League came with a 380 revolver.

Was this a British S&W in .380/200? Otherwise, I'm thinking that there isn't any such animal.
