is there a 1" qd cantelever mount for an ar <$100 worth having? other than a burris pepr. (it's a fine mount, but I hate how bulky it is)

I'd like to stay away from the amazon specials for <$30. basically I want an aero precision lightwight in QD. (which as far as I can tell is not a thing)

I am actually doing the same for my 1"/30mm scopes and did not want the weight/bulk of Burris PEPR mount and like the compact/lightweight design of Aero mount. I have been using Monstrum/Mizugiwa QD mounts for years with certain degree of success but now that I am pursuing 100-300 yard precision shooting/testing with my ARs, I am ready to move onto better quality/non-China made mounts.

Warne QD XSKEL mount is closest I have found that comes anywhere close to your budget at $139 that is made in USA - https://warnescopemounts.com/qdxskel1tw-qd-xskel-1-black/

Warne's 1 piece QD XSKEL cantilever mount features Patent Pending Dual Quick Detach levers and is constructed from 6061 T6 aluminum for a lightweight and rigid foundation. Steel threaded inserts ensure steel on steel contact between all threaded interfaces, and MSR Ideal Height helps the shooter maintain a proper cheek weld and shooting position with any optic on flat top guns. The QD XSKEL gives you a generous forward cantilever (2") for modern scopes while reducing weight with its skeletonized design (11 oz), and the Return-to-Zero performance that Warne is known for.

That's a very good price, I've been using ADMs that come in at about $189. I've got Warne QD rings on a couple of my hunting rifles and have been very happy with their RTZ. Next AR setup I work with I'll try a set out.

The QD seems to be the biggest sticking point. Several good mounts under $100, but they aren't QD (though many could be considered semi-qd with thumb screws).

You could try the Monstrum/UTG ones. They've upped their game in the last few years and while they are still relatively cheap they're definitely better quality than they used to be.

Burris has two different ones. This one is probably the one you have seen that looks less “low drag/high speed…

The other one has smoother lines.

This is true but zoom in on that photo, notice that those rings already use bushings, you can clearly see the two different parting lines in the rear because they are not clocked perfectly to one another. At that point you just get a set of bushings that will go to 1”.

I don’t know if the OP needs the scope forward that much for eye relief or just wants the cantilever forward offset and height but I have and still use Warn QD rings.

May not look as cool but if you keep your eye looking through the scope and not at the side of it, you can’t tell the difference. :)
