Real simple im looking for a DA/SA autoloader that can be chambered for that round. The problem I have seen, is there isnt any autoloaders designed for that cartridges overall length, its a very long cartridge.
Is there a modern autoloader that can be chambered for 7.62x25

Off the top of my head, 10mm may be close for OAL.

If you're talking about a custom job, turning something in current production into a x25, I'd be fascinated to see it.
Size wise, maybe something along the lines of a Desert Eagle would give you the grip size to play with that you'd need for the long length of the round?

Ive always felt that autoloaders were best at putting decent powered holes through your target with multiple shots, and revolvers were best at dishing out a massive powered hole through your target with one shot.
So it got me thinking after many many thread wars with not much help. I love my CZ52 but i hate its not DA/SA and SA only, I also find it just a little ugly carrying around, BUT i loved the penetration and armor piercing capabilities of that round. Why not find a platform that can handle the 7.62x25 cartridge in a DA/SA action. This would provide decent penetration. When your talking about .380 acp and 9mm your goal is just to punch a hole through your target till threat is over. I can have the penetration of kevlar body vest. Why not build a platform that would excell in that enviroment.

I seriously doubt it would sell well at all. The things that the hardcore shooting community want and what the general gun buying public want are usually two very different things, and unfortunately we (the enthusiasts) just can't bring enough business to fund "oddball" offerings.
Simple truth is that most people want something chambered in a round they can find at Wal-mart, and the trend lately has been to smaller and smaller guns to cater to the CCW market. Hence, the polymer incarnation of the "wonder-nine", tiny .380's, and a small smattering of .40S&W's and .45ACP's is what's selling. Things like a Glock in 7.62x25? You have to go custom for that because their is no mainstream market for it.
Watching those videos, the guy seems to point out that the trick to making the conversions work is the feeding, theres a lot of ramp work and magazine work to get the pistols to feed properly.
There is discussion in that ar15.com thread of deep-seating bullets to get more than four in the magazine. Seems to take a lot of the fun out of blasting away with Bulgarian surplus.

exactly, im looking for that first trigger pull to be double action, so im looking for DA only or DA/SA so really is there any DA/SA chambered for the 45 acp?
Id have to say I wish there was a CZ-75 platform that would take the cartridge............ I would kill for a new cz-sp-01 chambered for the tokarov cartridge.
You could probably modify an EAA Witness 10mm for it. You'd need to do/pay for a lot of custom work, though.
Here's the problem with making modern guns take 7.62x25: if it becomes popular enough, the round will come to the ATF's attention, and will very likely be completely outlawed as an "armor-piercing handgun round". Imagine it becoming illegal to manufacture or import 7.62x25 ammunition at all.

I would imagine the ATF has heard of the 7.62x25 Tok and is aware of its capabilities. If the ammunition being imported now meets the requirement for armor piercing ammunition, it would already be banned.
The length of the cartridge always made it seem a little awkward for a handgun, esp a defensive sized handgun. Even in a service sized pistol, it's a handful. If I am dealing with that sort of grip size, I'll take my Glock 20 and keep it in 10mm. I would imagine you could make the Tok fit in a Desert Eagle, but even the .357 Mag seems anemic surrounded by 5 pounds of metal. Downgrading further makes even less sense to me, esp when you consider the cost of the original pistol and the extensive custom work that would probably have to be done to make it function safely and reliably.
No, what I want to see is a modern 7.62x25 carbine--like a PS90, or even something along the lines of the M1 Carbine or Ruger Deerfield. An AR upper that could take those PPSh 71 round drums would be rad.
Still, your best bet in a modern handgun would probably be a custom barrel and mag conversion for the FN57. The 5.7x28 seems like it is the closest thing in overall length and modern application to what you are looking for and the FN handgun is about the only one on the market chambered for it that I am aware of.
