so I'm thinking of suppressing my elite match 9mm, but as far as I can tell

a) nobody makes a threaded barrel for one
b) not that many folks suppress the cz style platform much.

is there a reason for that? other options? barrel extension maybe?

I'm pretty much committed to a single action full size 9mm, so while I know you can suppress a 1911 I'm out on 45 and I hear they struggle with magazines in the 9mm flavors. Easiest thing to to is an aftermarket glock barrel, but I've done the plastic striker pistol thing, and I'll pass.

Let me know if you find one, "Firedragon" used to make them but their reputation was less than stellar.

It's pretty easy to find threaded barrels for 1911 pistols, but you've got ramped vs. un-ramped to contend with (defined by your frame) and 1911 parts don't really "drop in".

Not that it matters a hill of beans to me but what would be the purpose? I thought they were outlawed or at the very least hard to install legally? I wonder if someone ever fired in a self defense situation how that would go over in Court?

Back to your topic here is my Match with a 6" 10mm barrel before I actually bought my Hunter. Worked just fine!

Intercooler: the purpose of a suppressor? to make the gun quieter as you know. not outlawed, not even all that hard to get, they just take a bit of time and money. I don't know about how they would stand legally in a self defense situation, but on a range toy it doesn't matter.

was that barrel poly rifles or standard?

You know I think they all are. I have a 5" 1006 that is a standard barrel and gives slower velocity than the Match. I do believe they are all Poly.
