Is there an rcbs ammomaster users support group?

I did that as well but when I cleaned the shell plate it wiped off do I am looking for something more permanent. Thanks for the reply!

Oh, OK,
I don't recall ever "cleaning" a shell plate though.
Maybe a Q-tip in the shell pockets and a paint brush to remove any primer smooge/errant powder, that's all, never anything liquid.
:uhoh:
Etching/buzzy pencil should work.
.

Yeeeaaahhhh, normally I wouldn't go all out with a cleaning like that but I got sort of ambitious one day and......LOL!

I just mark my shell plates with a sharpy pen. If for some reason I would clean it , I would just re-apply.

Depending on how you store you shell plates, you could keep it with the dies. Or even a labeled peg system to hang them up.

I just ordered a holder for the shell plates. Maybe I'll label each slot. .Hmmm peg board hooks... just gave me an idea.....

Yeah, there's probably room for some small vertically oriented stickers on front of the slots on there. Plates #2, 3, 4, and 10 might get you into a bind though. Those are the most common cartridge heads and they fit a pile of cartridges. I suppose most people are just doing pistol so it probably would just be one per plate. You get he occasional collision like 270 Winchester, 6.5 Creedmoor, and 45 ACP on plate #3.

Yeeeaaahhhh......I don't know what I'll do about the overlaps.....? I'm not even sure that I use any of the shell plates for more than one cartridge. I'll work it out

Got my shell plate holders today. I purchased the wall mounted version. For the moment I'll mark them like this and we'll see how it goes from here 20230725_172255.jpg 20230725_185731.jpg

Does anyone have a preferred die lock ring that you like on the Ammomaster / Piggyback / Pro2000 platform with it's tight die spacing / radius? I'm thinking about giving those Lee spline drive locks with their little 1/2 wrench a try.
So I've been thinking about this for some time now and I think I'm going to take one of the nuts from the dies and go to harbor freight and get the right size wrench and modify it till it fits between dies a bit better. We aren't putting much torque on these so I should be able to shave it down pretty slim....
I may as well get a hex socket to fit the center bolt and a small ratchet to keep with the press for changing shell plates while I'm there....

Tip: put a piece of soft lead shot or, in my case a piece of lead splatter from the casting pot, under the set screw on the die locking ring. It keeps the set screw from backing out and prevents the set screw from marring the threads on the die.
