If you are talking about post-July 1, there are several changes to VA law coming up that will off-load some of the nitty-picky stuff. Some the governor has signed, others are banging around the GA getting "straightened out" (maybe)... never know until the gov inks the paper.

VA & NC have finally come to terms, and one of those nitty-picky items will bring reciprocity/recognition with FL and some others.

I gotta second Lillington, nice town out there, a gruff guy named "Pete" runs a shooting place a little ways south of town.

But one word of advice.

Make friends, they might have some land that you can shoot on!! Most of it is used for farming thou in middle NC.

From what I have heard about our schools you can pick a county and go to work anywhere in the state.
I have had a CCW in both North and South Carolina and the requirements are the same for the most part.
