I figured I'dl ask since some of you are in the know. Is there such a gun as a tz99 in 40 cal. ? It states in the owners manual that there is a 40 cal variant, but I don't know if Tressitu ever produced one. I'd like to also say a big HELLO to everyone on the forum as this is my first new thread.

Chris

Yes, the TZ-99 was made in .40, but I've yet to see any here in the States. BTW, I too am an owner of the 9mm. Where else can you find a pistol of this quality, for only $219 NIB? This SIG 226 clone even surpasses the beloved Mak, as the most undervalued handgun out there.

Gusgus, who is selling them for $219. I may have to get one if they're that inexpensive.

Can you find one at that price now? I'd like to have a second one. No .40s were imported to the US. Why?

TIA,
Chris

Ops, sorry folks, brain fart.

$219 was my Arcus 94. $269 for the TZ-99 from Aim Surplus in the Spring of '01, but that included 2 15 round factory mags, hard case & brushes. The mags alone sell for $30 - $40 each, so even at that price, it's still a fantastic value.

Uh, as I go through my receipts further, I realize that around the same time, I paid $269 for my HS2000, and $269 for my Ruger P-97, both NIB w/2 factory mags, which in reality, are better pistols. OK, let's say that for what you'd have to shell out for a SIG 226, the TZ-99 is an awesome value. ;)
