I would not have to shoot anything to make that trade. It's as simple as someone wanting to trade you the $1500 in their hand for the $750 in your hand.
I had a 4", .22lr cal. Diamondback, hated the wood grip but it was accurate.
Wish it had been in .38 Special with a modern rubber grip.
It would sometimes spin past a cartridge and strike the rear of the cylinder leaving fireing pin marks.
I sold it and bought a 6" S&W K-22 Masterpiece and never looked back.

Last fall at Tulsa they were asking $1,995.00 for .38 Diamondbacks and .22s were way more than that. If the DB is in good shape, make the trade, sell the Diamondback and buy two 617s.
