I’m trying to buy 4 items from RCBS and all of them are out of stock everywhere and no one knows when and if they’ll be back in stock. just wondering if y’all are seeing similar?
Yes sir that’s a fact. I’m a construction worker. We’ve had trouble with treated lumber and such not to mention costs going way up. Our electricians have told me the same. This is not just limited to gun stuff. I've been waiting for some water tight electrical boxes for work for over a month now with not even a word on when they will be available. While I think the gun industry is more visible to us enthusiasts we are not alone. This should be a good reminder for us all to have at least a modest supply of consumables in the future.
Barter is the way to go! CASH has lost it value.I'm curious if the barter here will increase because of things that cant be found. There is literally nothing on the shelves now including bullets.
I was thinking of Ebay for some of my dads old stuff that I have duplicated or just dont need to fund my trip. It's not exactly taking advantage but choosing the right time to purge... unfortunately I wont be there for a few more months so anything can change by then.I was just cruizing thru ebay last night for nothing in particular and ended up in the presses category and was stunned to see used Lee Pro1000 presses with bids on them for over $350.00 and a bare new Lee Value Press at bid near $200.00, also an old Lee 3 hole press with a starting bid of $150.00
I have been looking for an RCBS 30cal bullet collet for my puller for 3 months.
Is that when you project shelf inventory will return...I'm looking forward to about August of '22, I'm thinking there's going to be quite a bit of barely used reloading equipment coming up for sale. In the meantime, its a mean time.
Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. have no empirical data to support that claim mind you. But I'm guessing there will be no movement on any gun control issues until after the mid terms...too many fish to fry right now. So barring any major national calamity (which is not a given) 18 months should be enough time for the supply chain to right itself. I'm hoping for about a 12 month window between the summer of '22 and the run up to the '24 election that things return to some semblance of normality. That's where I'm hoping the folks that bought reloading equipment that aren't really into it decide that all is well again and decide to dump their equipment. Gotta have hope anywayIs that when you project shelf inventory will return...

I traded 8400 SPP's for 8400 LRN 135 and 115 gr 9 mm projectiles. I had $.025 in the primers and the bullets are $.08 and $.06 ea so I think I did a good trade.I'm curious if the barter here will increase because of things that cant be found.
