Which is better...

Reaction Rod or

Magpul BEV Block?

I am not going to do a lot of builds (I think...dunno this is a addictive habit) unless someone else is buying the parts. However I can also foresee changing a barrel.

Hands down the reaction rod is the best for building and working on uppers. The Magpul BEV block is very nice and is a good tool.
The reason I like the reaction rod better is that you can turn the upper 360 degrees on it.

Will certainly fit most bass baits... and the sling attachment point could potentially serve as an eyelet.

Only for sea bass. But while fishing for sea bass the ar might be nice for chasing away sharks... Or seagulls...this is starting to sound fun!

I used to keep a box of extra parts for customizing those, too. I guess times have changed.

I know you asked Gunny but in case he hasn’t used the BEV Block, I’ll say I have one and it’s really nice. If budget is no object go Reaction Rod. If you’re on a budget though go BEV Block as it works well.

No lie. Some of the European RC-ers have really embraced 1:6 scale, and micro jet turbines. There's a video of a Vicker Comet with 4 engines and a 3m wingspan
Mind, a 6 channel radio is no longer inexpensive, either.

It's expensive but solves one of my major complaints about ARs, the pistol grip.
I'm going to email them to see if the bc can be drilled for a reciprocating right side handle, which fixes my other major complaint.
Couple that with a Spartan smooth side upper in .458 socom (or maybe .375 this time, then I can shoot some of the same bullets as my ruger), and I'd have something I THINK I'd really like.
I'd probably do some type of slim guard and make a lowered "forend" that attached to the bottom....

That's what I want to use for my next one.

I like the concept of having a "sleeper" AR or AK. Sleeper meaning no evil looking pistol grip and buttstock. That is why I brought a Saiga Sporter carbine when our friend Barrack was first elected and some 10 round magazines.

However some States ban the Saiga by name making it a bad idea if a similar Federal ban was enacted. In addition the anti's are crafting anti-gun bills worded so that it will ban all semi-automatic long guns if it is passed.

That is my junk test mag, but it runs flawlessly. Ironically the light is off, but it sure looks like it's on...

How about mounting a fly reel on the handguard . you could go fishing and shooting at the same time.

Now you know what the M203 cuts are for on a civvy AR- the grenade launcher fly caster.
