Well. It finally happened. I've owned some striker fired pistols in the past, sold them all. I do have a s&w ve9 I got from my father's estate last year. But I've not bought one in years. That is till Monday. I was at my local shop and they just got in a used Beretta APX centurion. Out of curiosity I picked it up. Guys, it felt like it was molded to my had. Needless to say I bought it. Got the gun, 2 mags, and they made me the holster while I waited for the paperwork. All for 300 bucks. Put 300 rounds of mixed 115 and 124 grain and 50 rounds of 147 grain hp. No issues. Low recoil. I'll be putting it in my carry rotation. PXL_20231117_221031760.jpg

Nice catch!

For $300 bucks? I think you did awfully well there.

Glad to hear it ran flawlessly, it certainly sounds like you won the day with your new-to-you APX. :D

Stay safe.

Wow, nice deal. I hate to imagine what that slide would do to a leather holster.
Actually the slide isn't that sharp. It just looks sharp in the photos. I will be getting a leather holster for it after I decide which one I want.

I have little interest in striker fired guns now but would have considered that one mainly because of the price. It would have been decided by how it felt in my hand. A correctly fitted leather holster will suffer no abuse from the slide if you ever consider one.

I think you did good on your purchase.

Nice. I have never been a big Beretta fan. To each his own right? But this one for some reason I find quite attractive. I have yet to buy one, though I’ve put a few rounds through one.

The tactical Toblerone! A great price, I've never handled one but I can't imagine it feels like a Hi Power. That might sell me on one.

The APX is Beretta's well kept secret, which should be VERY much more popular that it is. Same for the SP2022 for Sig Sauer.

Frankly, I think both hold distinct advantages over their much more higher priced brothers.

Good deal, great gun.

Oh, I found that the mags (when I had one) worked pretty Ok in Glock mag carriers since that weird triangle thing on the mags made them thicker.

My only issue was I just didn’t shoot it anywhere near as well as the Glock 19 it was supposed to replace. Sold it for what I had in it but acknowledge they are great guns, especially at the ludicrous price they can be found for these days.

I picked up an APX A1 full size earlier this year. The price was right and it felt good in the hand. I don’t shoot it well, but then again, I haven’t taken it out a whole lot of times. It’s fills the void of having a full size striker pistol with a red dot. I can say that it fed every type of ammo it was given.

Don't know how to explain it. When I picked it up it just felt and pointed like a hi power. I've got a mk3 and two clone hi powers. I shoot them a lot. The APX feels like a polymer version of one, that's the best way I can put it. I like it so much I'm thinking about buying one with the RMR cut slide.

Congrats! That’s a sharp looking pistol.

Is that an OWB holster and if so who made it? It looks like there are plenty of cant adjustment options.

Ya, it's a OWB. Made by a co called freedom holsters. They make nice stuff. I've got several. Pretty comfortable. Here's another one they madeView attachment 1180454

Thanks very much. I have bought Alien Gear, Vedder and G&S holsters for my Glocks and none of them provide enough can’t for me. I will check these folks out. :)

EDIT: Is this the company?
