I was just looking back on my previous posts and enjoyed looking at how far I have come in the last 5 years.
I have been around firearms all of my life and had only owned some typical hunting guns up until about 2007. Since that time I have become a very avid collector of some nice pieces, I particularly enjoy WW2 era arms and militaria. I have taken my kids shooting many times and my 12 year old daughter has really enjoyed our time at the range together.
I have always been a patriotic person and I have extensive military history in my family.,I served six years myself.
But I find myself learning more about our history and enjoying that history more every day and I think my increased interest and respect for it is due to becoming a collector and studying each firearm.
I truly hope that this ability to collect and enjoy firearms is still available for my children to enjoy when and if they decide to do the same .
It is forums like this that give me hope and I thank each and every one of you that have contributed to my posts for your help.
