It sounds like there really might be a new Primer factory on the horizon

My point was: there are no investors. The $100M is either a) made up, b) refers to the previous investment by the DOD in the Hooks G Line that Expansion Ind is supposedly buying.
Shame on Texarkana Gazette for promoting this myth.
This times three. The actual press release is very carefully worded, where they've "invested $100 million" which the way I read it is the same - they are taking over an existing line that cost taxpayers $100 million. And since they are taxpayers... well, they invested it too. And the current crop of "journalists" are weak in critical thinking, and they ran with it.

I bet that equipment is pretty used up. I can only imagine the difficulty of restarting a production line where the previous operators weren't the owners but were paid to run the line. At some point the DoD looked it over and made the call to abandon the entire site. That should be their first clue that the challenges are bigger than they think.

I wonder if the next step is to get tax breaks, Industrial Revenue Bonds, state money, etc. with the promise of all those new jobs.

Expansion Ind recently received $1 million from the Paycheck Protection Program.

Well, that knocks my theory in the head.
I thought it would not be smart for a startup to use a non-PC lead compound and was wondering what "green" mix they would adopt.
My plan B is that they wanted something well studied for the past 80 or 90 years to simplify startup.

I really don't know what any of that means... I just saw the question and happened to stumble across the add when I looked up the company name and location in a search.

I went to Indeed to see if there were any other jobs advertised for the Hooks, TX area regardless of company and turned up zip/zero. So, here’s an outfit that purportedly has invested $100 million so far, will employ ~ 400, is having a job fair in five days, and has just one ad on Indeed? This whole thing is so bogus…

When I posted the link in the other thread there were 4 jobs listed.

When I saw this thread and went back to Indeed there were 3 listed.

If you do a search and read the description with out clicking you'll see it was 4 listed.

I believe you.

It is odd.

In a matter of minutes it went from 4 to 3... then later I saw your post and said to myself ' he must not of searched right, I'll link to it ' and boom, only 1 left.

It could be bogus... or maybe they got ahead of themselves advertising for the other positions when they still need a chemist.

I guess we'll see.

it is odd. I went back and re-searched after your post and came up with just one again. But I just don’t believe any of it. Too many charlatans in this world and this hobby. Sad.

Why do you say that? I checked their website and Facebook page and no mention.

You have to scroll down aways. They talked about how they put off the Palmetto MP5 for now to focus on something bigger and dropped this pic as a hint but went on to talk about some of the ammo they would be making. Someone asked about primers and "that is another picture, not there right now"
