I love my old Chinese SKS- the only semi auto I still own.
It's the MOST RELIABLE rifle I have ever heard of. It shoots accurately enough for me, it's small and built sturdy as a dump truck. I have an old scrubbed Chinese beater, ugly but a good shooter. I have replaced the front sight with a very skinny post from Topco, the only mod I plan to make. I have had this rifle with the mag fully loaded for almost 2 years, took it to the range, chambered a round and it fired the 10 rounds perfectly. It's one of my 2 home defenders, loaded with 10 HP's and with 60 more rounds on stripper clips.....you never know.
Thinking about buying a Yugo with a good bore, if I can find one, just for that single shot feature - if you shoot it in that mode using high quality ammo, you really increase accuracy a lot.
