Are these a good idea to use on a factory rifle? If so, which or both?

A benchrest guy recommended them to me. My primary goal is to reduce the gun's propensity to copper fouling and *maybe* gain a bit of accuracy as a bonus.

My rifle (TC Icon) is plenty accurate, hovering around MOA overall with nine different factory loads.

However, I swear I cannot get all of the copper fouling out of it. I recently tried an entire week of Boretech Eliminator sessions (including leaving it overnight in the bore a few times). It was still showing signs of fouling. I'm using a bore guide, plastic jag, plastic patch puller and nylon brushes, no less. In other words, I'm not getting false indications from the brass involved.

I've used JB Bore Brite (along with CR 10 and ,recently Montana Extreme 50BMG solvent) for years & recommend it.IMO Bore Paste is potentially too aggressive if one is prone to "over-do" things. A good cu solvent & Bore Brite makes more sense to me.

I have had very good luck with JB. I believe it was the late benchrest guru Creighton Audette who said that one should never use solvents when one had JB instead.

I've never used Bore Brite so cannot comment.

J&B non-embedding bore cleaner, and Leadout clothes. Between the two, they will clean the barrel faster and more effectively than anything I know. The groups in my rifles improved over the break-in period. I seldom get much fouling now.

I've used JB's bore cleaning compound to clean and smooth the bores on many of my rifles. This stuff works! It's helped resore the accuracy of a few rifles that wouldn't shoot too.
