John Edwards - "I do believe in the Second Amendment"

If you believe that John Edwards believes in the 2nd, than you believe in pixie dust and the tooth fairy. John Edwards is just another scumbag lawyer.

Fair enough - he's not currently practicing (I don't follow his every move, and frankly don't care to follow him at all).

The bottom line is, he was an attorney..... which means he went to law school (unless he's old enough to have gone to college during the days when law school and undergrad were combined, which I don't think he is).

He knows what the 2A says. He doesn't like it obviously, and doesn't support it obviously, but you guys can't claim he's ignorant of its text.

Therefore, whatever he says about it is carefully crafted - not ignorance. That's what he's been taught to do.

...or otherwise have info of a politician who has stated he does NOT support the Second Amendment? Schumer,Kennedy et al are on record as stating they support the Second;their actions speak for themselves.

This is real important folks. NONE of the antis are ignorant. They know full well what the Constitution says and what it means.

The "collective rights" argument, all that nonsense, they know it's wrong.

All they need to do is convince the sheeple after American Idol is over, they don't have to win in court or much else.

This makes them a much more dangerous enemy than I think we give them credit for. They TRULY believe that they know more than the founding fathers and if they could just have it their way things would be better.

They are smart, none of this is ignorance, it's VERY calculated.

Just went to Edwards' web site and left a pithy comment. Not that it will do any good...

And he was one of my favorites.

He still makes more sense than most of the candidates on energy.
