Great news... don't let up one inch until things are back on an even keel there. I flew out of Denver on Monday and was hoping to hear good news, this exceeded my hopes. What little I saw of downtown Denver this past weekend had me worried since I didn't see many likely supporters for reform.

Keep up the great work, Colorado has set a fine example of democracy (with a "little D") in action.

To borrow freely from a certain H. Smith: I love it when a recall plan comes together!!!

Good news indeed and about time. What a great parting gift for Bloomberg as he leaves the office of Mayor in NY city.

MSM is not really covering it, and the few that did focused on the NRA support.
    Wish we could recall MSN.

Excellent news, I will leave you all with the same advice I've been giving everywhere else. Save a DOC copy of the news story and get in the habit of including a copy each and every time you write a representative, from the state house to the Oval Office. It's always a good idea to remind employees they are there for your benefit not the other way around.

Funny how I haven't heard a peep of this victory on the mainstream media.

You have to start out on one foot to complete any march to victory.

Coloradans are marching towards taking back their state from politicians that listened more to power brokers in Chicago, New York, and Washington than their neighbors and constituents.

The remaining politicians in Colorado will hear this message as will those power brokers in Chicago, New York, and Washington.

I have read that after Morse conceded loss, the vote on Giron flipped from NO recall 69% v 31% to YES 56% v 44% (probably due more to votes from Pueblo starting to be counted than to Morse' concession, but I have read it was dramatic anyway).

Hopefully my state has begun righting the sinking ship!

Not sure why people are saying that there is no mainstream media coverage of these election results:

    - Right now, the recall is number 2 on Google News Top Stories
    - The recall leads the US section on cnn.com
    - The recall is a top story on foxnews.com

    Happy Day Colorado!

Now lets get a few more! Hudak anyone?

Are you really surprised? By and large those in media are intellectual inbred and this kind of story is far outside of their little family of ideas.

Let me add my congratulations as one who was born and raised in Colorado.

Since I am no longer a resident and perhaps not as well informed as I should be, can someone tell me why Morse and Giron were singled out for recall? There had to be a bunch of other legislators who voted for those laws also...why weren't they recalled too?

They were the two the recall efforts were started with. After yesterday's success, I am quite certain that others will be recalled next.

Even though the mainstream media "tries" to keep a lid on these two recall stories, the news will spread like wildfire especially for other "anti-gun" lawmakers who are "next on the list" to be recalled. I am really encouraged and fired up about any future recalls. ;) :D

These two recalls sent a clear message to all the lawmakers that pro-gun voters not only have the power to vote but also to recall. Get us mad and they WILL pay the ultimate price of being FIRED. I can just imagine what kind of discussions are taking place all over the country as liberal anti-gun lawmakers have their breakfast ... probably not much of a tasty meal this morning :neener:

    Excellent idea.

The right of the PEOPLE to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. It pays to remember who you work for.

Hopefully, these are the first of many to be booted out on their posteriors in the next couple elections.

Great work, Colorado!! Keep the momentum going!

Recall efforts for other state reps were mounted but only these two gained enough constituent support

I watched Morning Joe on MSNBC expecting to see something about the recall elections cause they were talking about them in the days before. Not one peep. I can imagine how they would be celebrating if the outcome had been different. Had to go to the internet to get the News. I really have not noticed anything on CNN either. Haven't checked out Fox. MSNBC had 24 hour coverage of Gov Walker's recall election. They even broadcast live. Had days of Ed Schultz campaigning FOR the recall for a few weeks. More bias noted in the Media.

Morse specifically was targeted for being senate leader and for introducing his own gun bill that was so onerous even his own party wouldn't support it.

Today is 9/11 ... for me these two recall successes add something meaningful to the "land of the free and the home of the brave" I cherish.

I am very happy that the citizens of Colorado have decided to teach those who
want to ignore and weaken the Second Amendment a lesson! This effort needs
to spread throughout the country to every state where the right to keep and
bear arms is under siege. Bloomberg and his fellow anti-gun friends got a punch
to the noses that they stuck in these elections!

Wow! The system really does work.

Congratulations to the gun owners of Colorado for standing up for their rights and putting in the extra effort that it takes to keep those rights!!

you are correct and I do not believe the two GOP guys that replace them will do anything to get the laws overturned that is the main thing. naturally morse the most radical senate leader for gun control was a former police chief

The Basic Freedom Defense Fund deserves a huge round of applause for this. As a part time resident of Colorado, these laws and the anti-gun trend in the Colorado legislature were a significant source of anxiety for me. I am glad to see that the tide has turned, and I hope that I can help in getting these laws repealed or overturned.
