Its always the rich crazy kooks from the out side when conservatives win. People like Bloomberg are normal.

This quote from the NY Times gets 'Most Ironic Quote of the Month Award":
The comment most recommended by readers was written by Robert Haufrecht in New York City, who said, “This is an embarrassment … an exposure of our gun culture and its big money influence that cares not for people’s safety, but uses a smokescreen of ‘conservatism’ and ‘patriotism’ to further unabated sales of arms.”

Unfortunately for you Robert Haufrecht all the big money influence came from the anti gunners like namely Mike Bloomberg and you guys lost even though our side was out funded 7:1.

Yeah, that was a dark moment for America and Minnesota. They just kept counting and then recounting, until finally they got Crazy Al into office.

I cannot imagine the thoughts going through the mind of Norm Coleman and his supporters.

So, watch carefully,Colorado. Progressives have no red lines. And few morals. :scrutiny:
you are right my neighbor voted GOP all his life but when he died he voted 3 times for a Democrat in one election

I love hearing this news. According to the good old New York Daily News, we aren't alone in being happy: even the Irish Republican Army is "crowing" with happiness over the recall outcome.

Really? "I" and "N" aren't even close to each other on the keyboard....

I know once the editor of a small town weekly "misspelled" GOP, GYP

Grand Young Party instead of Grand Old Party? I can live with that. Or maybe he meant Great Young Party.

What Governor Hickenloper refuses to understand --even though he himself used the term "minor inconvenience" --is that these laws are infringements on a constitutionally guaranteed individual civil right.

It's perhaps appropriate here to quote part of the recent Illinois Supreme Court Decision regarding firearms:

The court surveyed the Supreme Court’s recent Second Amendment decisions, as well as state and federal precedents from courts in Illinois. Regarding the significance of the Supreme Court’s opinions, it declared: “neitherHeller nor McDonald expressly limits the second amendment’s protections to the home. On the contrary, both decisions contain language strongly suggesting if not outright confirming that the Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms extends beyond the home.” It also characterized the Illinois law as “a wholesale statutory ban on the exercise of a personal right that is specifically named in and guaranteed by the United States Constitution….” According to the court, “In no other context would we permit this, and we will not permit it here either.”

(Bold and underlining mine)

A strong statement, and if I'm not mistaken, I think I've said that a couple of times previously, and I'm not even a lawyer.

Maybe I should have put it in all caps.

Awesome! Taking out the trash. Now if we could just turn these efforts toward our Congresscritters who continue to arrogantly stand up against the will of the American people, the nation as a whole would be better off. I don't mean just on firearms issues, but all issues.
