Jonesing for an impractical gun (pax makes a confession)

Ohhh.... I Like!

... though I'm not sure where to hang the fuzzy dice...

Ummm... why wouldn't that gun fit in any open-botterm 1911 holster? Like a *shudder* FOBUS or something? Differemt width and heigth dimensions?

For years I craved a WWI era Luger. A few weeks ago I got a chance to shoot one, along with a 1911 of roughly the same vintage.

Oh well. The Luger looked cool. That poor ol' jones is now dead and buried.

Sigh.

Closed-bottom holsters wouldn't fit, and an open-bottom holster might cause some regrettable damage to one's hip ... :uhoh:

Aww just have your hubby mexican carry it at 12 o' clock, you'll be able to hear where he is whenever he sits down :p Okay, scratch that idea...

I learned long ago...

OBEY THE VOICES.

;)

Sometimes a gun just "calls to you". You can't explain it or necessarily quantify it, but it just does.

Sure, I know it's not particularly practical, and it's downright painful to shoot.

Way more painful than those 500 S&W 500 grain 'poseur' rounds. :neener:

But it's just fun. More importantly, it's what the voices said to buy.

Remember the COP 357 four barrel pistol that Leon used in the beginning of Bladerunner to blow Holden away?

Well after I found out it was an actual firearm... oh baby. Had to have one.
Finally picked one up a few years back. Heavy. Horrible trigger/striker action. Produced patterns.. not groups.

And yet... it's way too cool for me to ever part with.

Oh really? Cuz this guy swears he's selling your gun. He's using the exact same pic in his auction. Maybe you guys are just using the same stock photo?

There are a LOT of guns I want that I'll never get just because I can't afford them. But having them be something no one else would want would never slow me down.

hnk45acp, I really want an engraved gun, but do not like standard old floral patterns. While I wouldn't go with flames, myself, I think you found a fairly unique way to personalize your gun. Very nice looking.

Pax, what's the matter, did you decide the potato cannon was too hard to conceal? Or just to hard to fit a bayonet on it...
