After a month and a half wait I just got these bad boys. Made by Kim Son, these grips are made from water buffalo horn. Ain't she sweet?

Very interesting looking grips!

What model 1911 is that?

I'm going to assume that it wasn't you who caused that idiot mark:neener:

VERY VERY nice looking grips !!! Personally , I don't own/like any kind of smooth grips - I like "rough" grips as I've had a handgun dropped when shooting in the rain with smooth grips.

Edit --- the "dropped gun" was at a IPSC match , while raining , you had to pick up the pistol off a table and engage close range targets ---- when I grabbed the gun , it FLEW from my wet hands and got me a Match DQ !!! Live and learn , I guess.

Looks like a 2006 Dan Wesson Razorback in 10mm.
Very nice!

Good looking grips. I, too, wonder how well they'll anchor to the hand upon firing.

Now, if you can only buff out that "idiot mark!"

SRT, NICE CALL! You hit the nail right on the head, it is indeed a DW from '06. Gun Fighter those grips are not smooth, despite their appearance. Happy Dude you get to test them out ASAP. And everyone else. . . . the "idiot mark's'" came with the gun, I bought it like that but you know what? For $740 out the door I really can't complain, she's a wonderful piece. Next step I'm buying a set of 'Speed Sights' that have never been produced for the 1911 before and they're being made for my gun specifically, and I am STOKED! I'll eventually get them buffed out but first I need to get sights, a trigger job, another set of grips (Horned Lizards by Monkey Grips) and then I'll work on the rest of the aesthetics. Otherwise thank you all for the compliments and for what it's worth, a one and a half month wait and only $40 (not including shipping) definitely was worth what I bought and while they're a little wide they formed to my hand like they were made for me (impressive considering I live in NJ and these were made in Vietnam and yes my father who fought in Vietnam was pretty pissed that I got these but even he likes the look of them). I love these things.
