Just purchased savage 7mm w/scope need some info

Hey everybody! I just bought a savage 7mm model 111 from big 5. It comes with a scope but I cant find what brand the scope is. It is a 3-9x40 and has a buck logo on the adjuster. Can anybody tell me what kind of scope this is?

Simmons, start saving money for a Nikon or Leupold.

Remove the scope and mounts and reinstall from scratch. They don't come properly installed.

got ya! Thanks for the good info. I really appreciate it. Any opinions on laser bore-sighters?

I've never used one. I bag it at the range, remove the bolt and center the bore of the rifle on the bull and dial the scope in. That gets me on paper and I dial in from there. It takes a few rounds but since you need to clean and shoot for a few rounds for barrel break-in you don't lose much.

I think tasco puts the buck on their low end scopes.
