Okay, so I've been wondering what was missing from these forums for the longest times, and then it hit me. I haven't seen a K31 picture/user thread. I did a quick search, and didn't find anything so I figured I'd start one!

Not only the K31, but the family of Switzerland's finest straight-pulls.

Let this be a one-stop shop for information on these rifles for those who are looking.

What I like about these rifles are their fine balance, elegant looks, and awesome accuracy. The engineering in these rifles is just profound, almost futuristic even, and if I could see a futuristic bolt rifle, I can see a K31 being one that inspires.

I'll start:

How does that scope mount work, I assume one of those clamp on ones, isn't it? Work as good as a drill/tap one? Becuase I've been considering picking one up if I ever get the cash put together.

It's a clamp on and it holds zero just fine. I used steel 3/8" dovetail rings and a Cabela's Alaskan Guide 3-12x32mm scope. Good clear glass and ideal compact size for this rifle.

dakOta: Don't I know it, mine's walnut as well.

jpwilly: That's a nice little setup. Doesn't really alter the lines that much, but it is kind of blocky. I've considered getting another K31 for that mount, but was never sure of how that mount worked. How much you got into that set up $ wise, if you don't mind me asking, for the mount and scope?

Got this rifle over the summer. It has quickly turned into my favorite rifle to shoot. I got the Swiss Products diopter set for it and couldn't be happier. The rifle is more accurate, better put together, and just feels more solid than any other milsurp that I own. No tag though :(.

Anybody know where to get the sling clip that clips onto the stock?

Ugg...don't you hate when the shipping comes out to be more than the price of the product itself? Especially when it turns a $3 item to an $11 item...
I found several other sites, but unfortunately none with any better shipping costs (at least here to NY.) Maybe one will turn up that is reasonable.

The Swiss rifles are about the most accurate you well find, most are mil-surp shoot match winners.

The SP clamp on scope mount works great, no movement with them, amazing considering how quick and easy they attach. There are several aftermarket sight sets, diopter sets, even Mojo offers a set for the K31.

I've never heard of a K31-43. Though, I've always wanted a Zfk-55. I'm seeing some fine looking rifles, here.

dak0ta: I noticed your top handguard is a little off, you can try loosening the rear barrel clamp and push the screw more towards the bolt handle side of the rifle to straighten them out a bit. Mine does the same thing.

Thanks for that, I was wondering about it. I haven't shot mine yet!
