Kahr CW40 a POS?

My sympathies to the OP. I have had similar reliability issues lately... with revolvers nonetheless. I don't know what happened to good old fashioned quality control, but I think it has become a thing of the past.

This is not a TV or a computer we are talking about here. It is a gun... and occasionally, someones life depends on it working.
 
I am certainly sympathic to him also but this is definitely not the norm with kahrs though, so chalk it up to what ever you want. It just happens and when it happens to you , it is not good. I have been that way with a Para carry 9, 3 kel tecs, One Ruger lcp so far with my 3 kahrs and one with over 23,500 rounds down range they have never let me down, so I kinda defend them on the ownership of 3 and also putting many thousands of rounds down range also.

Question to ask also. I have had many J frame revolvers and noe ever gave an issue, but I never put 1000 rounds out of any one gun either. Would you say this is indicative of revolver owners, over semi auto owner. Do semi owners tend to put many more rounds down range or is it just my thinking based on my experience and usage. I never had a J frame yet that shot as pleasant as my G19 or my two big kahrs.
 
Kahr has fine quality control. Apparently they are not for everybody though. I hear good and bad but I have only experienced good. Kahrs are tools for professionals and KelTecs for the ones who will buy at a price point. This is not bashing but it is probably gun snobbism. I am OK with that becase Kahrs are some of the best compact autoloaders out there. You have to play by the rules though. Follow the manual and you will not be disappointed.

And another thing, next time get a 9mm.
 
amen on the 9mm but that being said, ifyour gonna put out a 40 cal. MAKE THE DAMN THING WORK...
 
Phlipper: let us know how this turns out for you. I almost bought a Kahr the other day and didn't for no particular reason. I know some of them are good, but the model you have does appear to have problems.

I can't belive this thread won't die...
Someone must have duct taped trauma plates to it that allow it to withstand multiple hits from a .338 lapua while a partner thread returns fire under cover of a smoke screen.

the funny thing is the OP planted the turd on this thread and then just left andl et us all smell it for damn near 100 posts...Maybe the laugh is on us. This will be my last for what it is worth comment on this subject..
