I have a bud who is not a member of this forum so I'm posting for him. He owns a PM40 that he loves in terms of comfort and how it shoots but it is having reliability issues. Early on it started failing to chamber the second round. After the slide was racked it would fire the rest of the rounds just fine. Soon after it broke a part of the follower. This was all on the extended mag. Although the broken follower did not exacerbate the problem. Soon after the same part of the follower on the flush mag broke too and it started to experience the same second round failure to feed problems.

Does anybody know about this problem or what needs to be done to fix it?

huh??

unless this is just with the pm40 magazines. I have 11,700 through my pm9 and never ahd one issue with ahny magazine, also have alittle over 3000 through my k9 with never a mag issue. I would call kahr and have a chat with someone, you might just get some new magazines.. sorry ur friend had some issues. Most all of these kahrs work great right out of the box and Ihave found that normally any feed issues is magazine related to..

Extrapolating experience from the 9mm to the .40S&W isn't particularly germane. The .40 has a good bit more recoil to deal with and therefor is tougher on mags and springs.

I certainly agree about talking to Kahr first if the gun is fairly new or has had few rounds thru it. They will likely drop a couple of replacement mag followers in the mail to him at the very least.
