Kel-Tec as carry pistol? Opinions?

Odd. I got ride of two 1911s as they wouldn't feed anything, but ball. But, my P85 and my P11 feed anything, never a problem.
McHammer, I have tried everything with the P85 and it is just extremely finicky. It has been run dry, wet, 115 to 147 and only likes that one ammo(I would have to look to see which ammo that is). Since I don't shoot it a lot anymore I quit worrying about it. As a matter of fact I started reloading last year and have never even tried any reloads in the gun. Sounds like a project.
The 1911 will run my reloads and all the FMJ I have purchased but hiccups regularly on HP but, since I never intend to use it for anything other than a range gun, I don't really mind. I also have a 22 conversion for the 1911(I think it is on the gun now) so I have two guns in one.

Gun Master, I'm pretty sure the owner's manual that came with my P32 does indeed state the magazine is a seven-round one. So does every other gun catalog I find that indexes the P32.

How old is yours that it came with a six-rounder?

The similarly-sized P3-AT, however, does come with a magazine intended to hold only six rounds.
Yes, my P-32 has a standard 7 rds. mag. I didn't intend to be misleading. I start with a 7 rds. mag, load the top rd. in the chamber, leaving 6 unchambered rds. in the mag. Also carry a backup 10 rds. mag. for reloads.

You might say I carry "6 + 1".

MedWheeler, we are all now aware that you caught "Gun Master" on an OOPS and s/he won't be forthright enough to admit it, instead, choosing to Go All Clinton on the issue.

I seriously doubt that you were expecting this to go beyond "Gun Master" admitting to the OOPS (possibly with surprise and/or even claiming a simple brainfart or typo), but ...

... y'think, maybe, it's time to move along and let the crowd disperse?

Besides, your last post seems to have slammed the door on GM's silly "I am a leary of the "7 + 1" carry theory. I believe it is safer to carry the normal rds. the gun was designed for." explanation.

Just a thought ... ;)

GBExpat, originally, I was thinking Gun Master was mistaken about the P32's magazine limit, perhaps confusing it with that of the P3-AT, and wanted to make sure he was aware of every possible advantage available should he ever need that gun.

It took the back-and-forth dialogue for me to realize that, for him, it was more about how he feels about "topping off" his magazines after chambering than about a misunderstanding of the magazine's capacity.

As you do acknowledge, his unclear responses at first made it difficult for me to understand that.

I'll join you in dispersing with the crowd now.. ;)

Kel-Tec Carry

Say what ???!!!:what:

See posting # 102 . I carry one in the chamber, and six in the mag. Don't want a full 7 rds. mag pressing tight against the slide bolt. I'm a'skeard o' jams . OK ?

You can carry yours the way you like, and I'll do the same.

Now, I'll leave with the rest of the crowd.

Gun Master, yes, we're okay. We already were. It's just the GBExpat brought it up again, and I explained my part in the dialogue. That's all.

Thanks, bro. I realized that and my remarks were addressed mostly to him.
I know a lot of gun toters carry a full mag, plus 1 in the chamber, and it works for them. That's OK.
I've had too many jams and malfunctions for me to carry that way.
Put in a full mag, pull the slide back, let fly forward to chamber, and apply safety, if applicable.
Keep shooting and stay safe.:)
