Pretty much settled on a P 32 for BUG, pocket carry. I've read much of the debate and discusion with P 32 vs P 3AT and about 100 other choices for BUGs and I'm going to give the P 32 a try for a while.

Q 1. Is a P 32 Model P32HCGY any different from your garden variety P 32?
Q 2. Is 279.00 a reasonable price for a P 32?
Q 3. If a P32HCGY is in fact a different animal than a P 32 is it more or less preferable?
Q 4. Is 240.00 a reasonable price for Model P32HCGY?

I thank you all for your insight and opinions.
Fire away!:)

I have a KT 32 and love it. I have had it for about 6 months. No problems, I went with the 32 over the 380 because of problems with the 380, you can read about both of them on the boards listed above..Good group of guys, I am a member as well...Now, as for the price, I went to a gun show here in Texas and bought a new one for $207 before tax.

Hey Jeepman -

Depending where you live, $279 (NIB) is a decent price. Not great, but OK.

I don't recognize P32HCGY - Looks like the Hard Chrome version, which is usually a few bucks more. Hard chrome slides are a little less susceptible to moisture damge, so if you live in a wet area it might be worth the extra money. Here in Seattle we have had 26 straight days of serious rain, so the HC version will probably be my next purchase. Also might help with sweat corrision.

As others have pointed out, KTOG and KTRange are filled with guys who love to tinker with their KT's and you can get just about any info you could ever need there.

Good Luck - I love my P-32

I have owned a P32 for several years now. I have yet to have any kind of failure with it. Mine has the hard chrome slide which I highly recommend.

Q 2. Is 279.00 a reasonable price for a P 32?
New in box, yes. I think that is what I paid for mine or close to it. The chromed slide will have a higher price then the blued model.

The P-32 is a fine little gun. I should know, because I had two, but after I purchased and did extensive shooting with my P-3AT, I ended up selling both of the P-32s and purchased two more P-3ATs.

I'm not knocking the P-32, but IMO the 380 is a more effective and a better cartridge, won't cause rim-lock like the 32cal, is generally less expensive, is more plentiful and available in a bigger selection of bullet designs.

P32

That would be a decent if not a good price for a hard chrome P32. I paid $169 for my blued P32 last year, but prices have a way of going up.

Get it, you'll enjoy it.

Thank you all for the responses.
I checked out those links and learned a few more things about the gun. In my research I have found that like many other firearms and other products these also have thier drawbacks. They also have a group of people that dislike them and a group of people that like them. I wil complete my research by purchasing one in thenext couple of weeks and deciding for myself.

Thats how I did it with my Glock 23 an it worked out well.

Jeepman,

Yes, there is a lot to digest on the KT guns. I have a friend that had the 380 and hated it, the long trigger pull, well he sold it at a gun show...Three weeks later I bought the 32 KT and he kind of gave we an "odd" look....I like the 32 and the long trigger pull (their safety) didn't bother me.....Plus I like to do little 'mods' to guns, and there are a few you can do the the KT, all I did was polish the ramp.....But, I will do more as time goes on....

Good luck,

Jim
