I've had this little critter for years, and just noticed something new about it. When firing repeat shots, if you don't let the trigger reset all the way, but only to the "click" point, and pull again, it will fire, sort of like a short reset on many striker-fired guns. What's interesting about it, is that it does so from straight from half cock. I was shooting federal ammo, at the time I noticed it. Federal is known for their soft primers, and I was wondering if this would be repeatable with other ammo, if itwould be reliable enough to practice this way, or if it would eventually damage the gun in some way?

Probably won't work on other ammo. You typically get a light strike when you don't allow the trigger to fully reset.

You likely have a weak firing pin spring or your P-32 wouldn’t fire only half-c0cked. I have clip a couple of coils from my firing pin spring when a some of my P-32s had problems firing Sellier & Bellot or other hard primer ammo (it’s easier than installing a new hammer spring) :uhoh:

YZGuy did some experiments with Kel-Tec mouseguns and was able to modify them enough to fire off the hammer block without fully releasing the trigger. IIRC, it was determined that there might be some excessive wear and the pistol should be frequently inspected. There is a web page on it but I don’t have the URL handy.
