I have a new (less then 500 rds though it) Kimber Raptor II. I just can't find anything to complain about with it.;)

Although it's not a Kimber I have a Springfield Ultra Compact ( 3.5") with The wrap-around Hogue grips and I seem to like it too.

Pretty is how it feels in my hand.

Lightsped,

I only have one Kimber, and it probably isn't much to look at as it isn't very blingy. I have fired this gun probably a total of 20 or so rounds.
It takes 300-500 to break them in...better get shooting.

Yeah, when I said 20 rounds, I meant around three magazines through my gun.... Perhaps less than that. I just don't shoot 45acp much anymore with the price of ammo climbing....

My father purchased a series I goldmatch(?). It was a beautiful stainless steel piece of art. I was a fairly young when I shot it but still had no problems with malfunctions or jamming. It went buh bye sadly, but a whiles back when I had some money sitting around I purchased a series II TLE. Absolutely love it. Can anyone chime in to me with problems/praise for their 3'' kimbers? I saw what I think was the 3 inch CDP. :what: I must have it.... pending they work well.

Why doesn't Kimber make a "Pro Warrior"?! I don't want a Pro TLE/RL, I want a Pro Warrior as in Series I). :)

Some day.

Dan, is that the original finish on your Custom II? It's purdy.

Yup. Thanks. I took that when it was brand new. It doesn't look quite so dark in real life. I admit to tweaking the tone a smidge.

Dan, that custom II is relly nice. You're a good photographer too. It looks like an ad in a magazine!

Thanks! I took that in my ghetto studio (coffee table surrounded by cheapo lights clamped to chairs).

OP said his was flawless.

Hey, what's that big ugly smudge on the frame just above the trigger? :uhoh:

ETA: Oh, I found out it was just drool on my monitor! :D :neener:
