looking for anyone that has experience with the Kimber Pro or Ultra Crimson Carry models . I have been looking at the Pro model with 4" brl. in 45ACP. I will be looking to trade a beretta 9mm and several other handguns for the kimber. let me know what you think of the kimbers. thanks

Henry rifles

Almost forgot to post this question--anyone out there have anything to say about the Henry lever action rifles? Am looking at a 26"brl (octagon),lever action 357/38spl-new at $775.00.

Don't know how much difference between the two, but I have an Ultra Raptor. Mine came with the standard issue out-of-spec slide stop. Other than that it's worked well, but I have fired less than 3,000 rounds.

I carry a Kimber Ultra Carry II in 45 for my ccw. I am very satisfied with its performance. Its a very accurate weapon and has had no failures of any kind in the hundreds of rounds that have been fired through it. I would recommend Kimber to any one.

I have 2 Pro's and one Ultra. Love them. Pro Carry II, Pro Raptor II and Ultra Raptor II.

i have ran several of kimber's models and have never had an issue with any of them, reliable, and accurate. i have shot thousands of rounds form a TLE, TLE Pro, Grand Raptor, Custom II, Covert Pro, Tactical Custom II, just to name a few.

I carry the Kimber Compact Stainless II (with the STEEL frame)... I love it.

My brother carries the Kimber Ultra Carry II (with aluminum frame)... He loves it.

My other brother carries a full size, all steel Springfield... He loves it.

We use Crossbreed holsters... we love them.

We have night sights... we love them.

We don't do lasers... they're unnecessary.

I think the compact (4" bbl) is the best compromise. I personally won't go any shorter than 4" in a 1911.

.

I carry the Pro Carry II. Personally, the extra inch on length is not a big deal as I IWB carry. I like having a bit more barrel than 3" on a 1911 but if I ever got a good deal on an UC, I'd buy it in a heartbeat.
I am the 2nd owner of mine and it has run without a hiccup and is scary accurate.
I know a lot of people bash Kimbers but for a sub $1000 1911, it is one of the best out there IMO.

I have the Pro Raptor and a SS Ultra and love them both. The Ultra is my everyday carry IWB.

I carry a Pro. Again I wouldn't want to shoot a 45 out of a 3" barrel. I love it. I'm still in the break-in process, Kimber recommends 400-500 rds of ball.

I have five Kimbers. When I find something I like, I stick with it.:D

I like the Ultra models (short grip, 3 inch barrel), but I have a Compact Custom (4 inch barrel).

The guns are amazingly accurate and reliable. Which model to choose is a personal thing but even my cheapest one, the Ultra Carry ($589) will shoot as good as my $1,186 Ultra Covert.

This is interesting about the Kimber.
Yesterday was only the second day this girl had ever shot a gun.
I checked her out on my Kimber Compact Custom and she (accurately) fired several magazines.
Then, even thought she hadn't shot over ten yards distant, I ran her through the Texas concealed carry qualification for practice.
(50 shots, all timed, 1 shot in two seconds at 3 yards, to 5 shots in 15 seconds at 15 yards)

The girl shot a excellent 242/250 with that Kimber. Needless to say she is a Kimber fan now.:)
