If the Kimber is anything like their .22 rifles, it is an outstanding piece. In Kimber's early days, they damn near put Anshutz out of business with their high-quality .22 rifles.
If you are refering to the 22 conversion top end they are made by ciener. I had the ciener version for awhile I used with my kimber custom. It was reliable and accurate. I sold it because I shoot my browning buckmark more. Mark
This is a new pistol, they still offer the top end conversion kits. I was told around $600. The last Ace I saw was a couple of years ago, it was over $800, as I remember.
