Heading to see family at the end of this month and will probably end up in the pigeon forge area for a day or 2..I always stop by smkw but I was wondering if anyone knows of some knife makers in the area that I could go and check them out..

There are a lot of bladesmiths and knifemakers in the area, but they don't typically have drop in visitors.

If you want I can forward your contact info on to a few of the guys and they can respond if they're interested (they're most interested if you're interested in buying a knife ;-) ). Just PM me and I'll forward it along.

To follow up for everyone - Tommy Mohr is right beside SMKW, James Gibson is in Seymore and Len Landrum is in Cosby.

I dont know if this will help or not, but I was hunting Mohr knives Back in 2013 and they had moved to Jefferson City, TN, off of Rocktown Rd. (About 30-40 minutes from SMKW).

I dont know if they are still there or if they are still in business. You may want to call them first.

Rick and Tommy are in the tiny brick forge next to SMKW. They'll be moving to a bigger space eventually, but they haven't gotten to much more than the "some day we'll..." point.
