Okay - gonna need to know who I'll be puttin' up...

My larger blue-grey dome tent is available.

A "4-person" Eureka (needs a tarp over the top, cuz the fly is torn, but it works just fine) is also available.

Two "two-person" dome tents are also in the box, but I don't think I've ever put one of those up.

Tammy has my little "two-person" Eureka. Sigh.

If we get a buncha folks, we can craft a tarp lean-to for the adventuresome ones...

The canopy tent, along with the above tents, and some extra tarps, is already loaded in the van.

Bring your own air mattress/bedding. Remember to bring the pump for your air mattress.

I'm sleepin' in the van. On the futon.

I will likely bring enough bratwurst for Saturday evening (that seemed to go over well), along with some Shiner (now that it is readily available on St. Louis).

Sunday morning, I've decided NOT to go to Ft. Knox for the Patton museum, due to the increased security on post, and those among us who insist on carrying enough iron to ensure that they sink... May, however, do a run to the Cavalry Store. Oleg, Runt, it is "sorta" on the way home - you just have to get back on 65 at a different exit.

I'll be doing breakfast on Sunday - Menu right now is looking to be scrambled eggs with peppers and cheese, sausage, maybe some bacon... Ideas are welcome, or bring something to add. Not gonna do omelets again. Too much work. Runt, I may need some "assistance" in the spices department (evil grin).

Thus far, the St. Louis contingent appears to be myself and Kay. I may meet up with a friend from college at KCR. Which means that there are two empty chairs in the back of the van - any takers?

Also, just to emphasize that this _is_ on topic, I will likely be bringing at least one benchrest rifle - Oleg wants some pics of guns he doesn't have, so if you're coming, post what sorta toy you're bringing.

I'll be there with a friend of mine. We've got all our own camping suplies, but would like to camp in the vicinity of you site. I plan on bringing a two-wheel'er cart for hauling ammo back to the campsite. Should be arriving sometime Friday morning. Thinking about taking the drive down to the Cav store on Saturday maybe...?

Anyway, I wasn't planning on bringing anything, but I could if someone really wants to see something. Don't know if these may be of interest or not... Barrett M99, the evil Rem 700 "tactical" ;) and my AR-10 carbine.

I'm traveling for business the next two weeks. :banghead:

I hope to be back in town in time to hook up with everyone on Saturday. Someone start a rendezvous thread when you settle on a place and time.

Gun related - I shot the HK G3 7.62 last fall. Hoping to add an MP5, Tommy gun, and M4 this time.

When and where?

Too bad its not in June or else I'd be that way. Going East to see the family in Ohio round June. That is if I get outta here;)

Okay - I'm figuring that Oleg & Runt will have one of the two-person tents... That leaves the 3-4 person dome, the 3-4 person Eureka, and one of the two-person tents.

Remember to wear boots and bring a poncho. If you don't have a poncho, it will rain. DO NOT be the person who causes it to rain. The spring shoot can be sorta muddy at times - However, this has the benefit of allowing folks to shoot a LOT more tracers...

I can't find my darn radios.

I'll be camping at the range-end of the campground. Green 1995 Chevy 3/4 ton conversion van with Missouri plates and a CCW sticker on the bumper, big grey canopy tent. Probably going down Thursday night, so we'll be there all day Friday and Saturday. If you get there, and nobody's at the van, just find a spot and put up your tent. We'll be back.

We are showing up, not sure about the exact arrangements yet.

Please recommend a good rain poncho.

Scary thought, I am actually looking forward to that monster omlet you make.

I'll drag in a camera or two and plenty of memory cards. Ought to make the page with previous gathering's images before the next one.

My favorite ponchos are the east german surplus ones that are for sale all over the place for about $10 ($20 if it starts raining...), followed by the US military surplus ones.

Oleg, for you I'll cook an omelet. We're gonna need to have Runt help with the spiceage situation tho...

Anyone else coming from the 'ville?

Am going to try to be there one day, but won't be camping this year (I don't know if I'll be trying that again until I can concoct a one-person tent from a good watertight kiddie pool, six tarps and a tracked chassis - cruddy tent I used last year kept me nice 'n wet/muddy on Sunday).

If I make it down there, I'll be wearing my TFL Alumni shirt. Cheers!

Alas,I won't be able to make it this time.:banghead:
I'will however keep open my option in the fall ;)
Have fun all!

Cordex - it's easy.

You say "Bogie, can I borrow one of the little two-person tents?"

I've got enough tarps to put under 'em that you won't have to worry about the floors leaking.

Hint: ONE lucky person will have the use of a Veet-bleepin'-nam era gen-u-whine harmy surplus folding cot, with a newish nylon covering. Just bring a one or a coupla sleepin' bags, a pillow, and it's almost like home. First come, first snoozin'...

I've made everyone one but one since 1997...

And it _had_ to be the really cool one where the "fireworks" got outta hand and someone blew up Kenny's outhouse.

I am profoundly sorry that I missed that experience.

Plans are now to make it down for Sat. Look for a green TFL shirt.

Greg

( :( Never mind, I just found out the date and I have a prior comittment yet again. :fire: )

Back to top, campers... I'm leaving tomorrow morning - getting there Thursday evening. So, let's hear the RSVP stuff - there is tent space (waterproof, with floors) available - all you need is an air mattress and bedding.

Okay - looks like we have a limited contingent this time. Myself, Kay, and mpthole and his buddy. A friend from college MAY come out, but she's a bit more inclined to do Thunder on the River (may actually blow off Saturday night to do that myself...).

Talked to Oleg on Sunday, and it's looking like he and Runt won't be able to make it - please advise if that has changed.

So, anyone else? We'll be camped at the "range end" of the campground.

I NEED TO KNOW HOW MANY FOLKS WILL BE THERE IF I'M GONNA COOK BREAKFAST, OKAY?

Another change of plans here... :( I've been sick for the last week and its not getting any better. Plus, the ammo vendor who I was hoping would have an order for me won't be able to deliver anyway. So.... we won't be attending either.

This cold sucks! :banghead:

We would love to make it but can't this time. October probably but not this time. Family is in town and we have been on a bit of gun buying binge as of late and neither of us really want to be around table upon table of very cool, very expensive stuff.

Hope you have a great time.

The Slingers.

Looks like I will be MIA for the spring one as well. Leaving on a business trip Saturday. :yuck:

See you all in the fall.

I hear that the Patton Museum will be there as their first non-military show. They plan to parade a tank across the firing line Friday and Saturday, firing the machine gun downrange.

Workers are putting the final touches on new walkways on both sides of the bridge.

The old trailers behind the range house have been removed, making more room for vendors.

The back of the range is totally filled in with soil now.

Have a good time y'all.
