Okay... Thus far, the Missouri contingent is composed of myself, Wendy, Zorna (Wendy's sister), Kay (_without_ Clay), and Arne & Linda and their kids (hopefully they've managed to keep their grades up...). We're planning on being there on Thursday.

Just got a PM from the Intune Gang, and they're planning on being there on Friday.

Who else? I'm planning on doing breakfasts, and need to know how much stuff to get when I hit Sam's. Since last spring I have discovered coffee, so be ready for something evil in the morning. It's all about the grind...

We'll be bringing the big tarp tent, etc. Two camping stoves, at least one charcoal grill, assorted implements of destruction, etc... Look for a 1995 chevy conversion van, 3/4 ton, green, and a large grey tarp tent. If I remember it, I'll have a 3' tall blow-up Shiner Bottle on top of the van. Yeah, I'll bring some Shiner!

Let me know if you need me to bring a tent for you - I have several extra. I'm supplying one for Wendy's sister, so that's one less. If I'm going to bring a tent for you, you have to bring your own air mattress/whatever, sleeping bag/whatever, etc.

Thursday camping cost is $40/head, Friday is $30, and if you get there Saturday, it's $20.

If folks are interested, I'm gonna organize a pot - $10/entry, winner takes all and heads to the gun show.

Who else can make it? Runt, if you come, you're responsible for the hot sauce. And try to bring some other folks from Tennessee! (btw, I've got a "new" camera for the collection...)

Cordex? Logistar? Bowman? MLH? Last fall was a blast - this one could be better!

Take lots of photos for us stranded back here.

:(

Since I moved from Louisville in 1999 to Seattle I have really missed Knob Creek. And I sure miss Junie Sumner and the gang.

I lived in Louisville for 40+ years and I have had more fun shooting at Knob Creek than all the other places I have been combined.

:D

(sigh)

Bogie, I'd be there in a heartbeat, but alas the wifes b-day is the following weekend and we'll be in hawaii,so no moolah for Knob Creek too.Take pics!!Hope to see you guys next year!

I found this posted on another forum...

Yup Bogie, I'll be there somewhere. This time I am going to try and make it on Saturday and maybe Friday too! I'll probably be walking around with my SAR-1 looking for magazines that fit it one of those 2 days.

Then again, it is a really LONG drive for me to get there from home. - Takes me almost 25 minutes! :neener:

Anyone gonna meet up? I have never met anyone from TFL/THR there (unless they went with me).

Logistar

( - wonder what will end up on fire this time?!!??)

BluesBear, I wish I'd gone to them more in the past. Last spring, I could only go on a Friday afternoon and it seemed like they "closed" a little early. I had to leave even earlier than that. (I am sure they ran later on Saturday night.)

I don't remember seeing a flamethrower but I probably just missed it. There wasn't a general lack of firepower though!

The "fire" I mentioned (from last spring) was a car that was "attacked" by all kinds of weapons. It eventually developed flames!

I really hope none of you guys get lost and accidentally drives onto the range while it's under fire! :what:

I've never been and am really interested in going.... any other Louisville members want to get together?

Charlie Hansen used to do a flame thrower on Saturday nights (I think it was Saturday). He rebuilds and sells them. His demo was usually during a break in the night shoot.

I had the most fun one time with a buddy's 1928 Thompson with an L drum filled with alternating green and red tracers.

They used to put a little gasoline (and occasionally a little dynamite) in some of the cars (and the occasional refrigerator) to help spice things up with just the right shot.

The gun climate is a little better out here in Washington than it was in Kentucky except that there are no title II goddies out here.

:(

Oh well, maybe I'll see you guys back there next Spring.

(lemme see... if I can just save $25 from each paycheck........)

I want to go and take about 10 friends on Sunday but I need directions and approximate fees for shooting the machine guns. Thanks for the info.

Usually a magazine or a belt will run about $30ish - depends on the toy.

Just got an e-mail. Arne & Linda are definitely coming - don't know about how many of the kids kept their grades up... They're also bringing another couple.
