Okay all you THRer's. Who's going? As usual, I will be camping, but due to some work obligations I won't be getting there until Friday evening. This will be my first creek as a THR-er!!! I only reciently joined. Let me know if you're going to be there and we'll meet up.

10/12-10/14 in the great state of Kentucky.

EDITED:
WE SHOULD PLAN TO MEET UP AS A GROUP AT THE FREAK SHOW TENT ON SATURDAY AT 14:00 (2 PM) BOGIE, WHERE EXACTLY IS THE TENT? i DON'T RECALL THE DEER STAND.

Washooter, this is an open event. Anyone can attend as long as they are willing to pay the entrance fee...$10.00 per day at the gate, or camp there for $20-$25 per night if I remember right. I am flying in and renting an RV localy. Last year and every year befor I drove in with an RV about 12 hours each way. With a group of friends who share the driving, it's a blast...especially driving a large rv through the west va mountains, but this year I am tight on time so I am flying in to louisville. Hope to see you there. With what is going on in politics, who knows how long things like the creek will be around. I hope they're there for ever, BUT I don't want to be sitting on my deck some time in the future and wish that I had found the time... and lament about what once was.

No, never needed towing, but the first creek I went to was in 1994, and my buddy and I drove straight through from up-state NY in a 1984 two door chevy POS otherwise known as our camper. Those were lean days for sure.

Last year we were in the Blue & White RV with VA tags just around the corner from the coleman camping stove incident.

I will for sure stop by and say hey. See you then.

First time

My husband I and some friends are going for the first time. I can't wait! Not fully sure what to expect but I've heard great things.

The best way to do it is to camp. You don't have traffic hassles, and since nobody blows stuff up (other than themselves - the "coleman stove" incident involved someone who, while drinking, tried to refuel his stove while it was lit...), it is pretty mellow.

First timer as well, won't be able to join up for a meeting as I'll be working tables for the company I work for, but I'll be there...

Hey Dust and Rumble,

You guys are going to have a blast! Dust, pm me with the table you'll be working at, or post it so we can come by and support your company.

When I find out the table I'll get it on here, otherwise you'll see our white/blue Johnson Ford rental truck... 15 hr drive :barf:

...at least I'll be able to stock up on some ammo, I hope :D

I'll be there Saturday.

I'll be there, chained to my tables as I'm the only one working them. B-12. Stop by and say "Hi".

Any THR's besides Mike going to be set up in the pole barn selling wares?

Hey Dust 101, I feel your pain... for years I have been doing the 12 hour drive each way, car camping, tent camping, then RV camping. Finally I wised up and am flying in and renting a camper for the weekend.

Guys, the Freak Show tent is in the campground, so it's off limits to non-campers. The "deer stand" is what we call the security shack - it's got an open view of the whole area, and makes one heckuva bambi-location-device...

2:00 Eastern Time where? Howazabout in the milling around area between Lamont's table and the range shack's front door?

Sorry I missed you folks. Got there Thurs nite with intentions of getting together at 2pm Sat but the crowd I was with decided to leave Sat. noon. Maybe next time.
