Hello, I am a new Luger owner and I have already posted on the Luger Forum and they were of a great help, but I am still confused about a couple things. I am wondering if the Magazine is a Krieghoff, as this is the first Luger I have ever owned, and if the grips might be original. The magazine does not match the serial # of the gun although all other numbers on the gun match, there are a lot of them. Unfortunately the gun has a lot of surface rust and the finish is not great. The magazine has the #2694 with the script letter n below and below that is a waffen with 03 stamped below that even, this is on an aluminum base with the top part of the magazine is blued, I know it doesn't match the gun serial # wise but could it still be a Krieghoff mag? Aso the grips are wood and the inside of each grip has a waffen with 135 stamped in the wood? Could these be original to the gun? One post said no another said could be? I haven't been able to find much on the internet about id'ing these grips or mag. Anyone have any info as to what Luger they Are from?. It is a 1937 Krieghoff, I would rather have a Nice looking Luger I could shoot and still display as a representative WW2 piece on the side of my gun cabinet. I have include some pictures if anyone could comment I would appreciate it.
Thanks in advance, Ed
