I was searching for +1 or +2 extensions for my Gen 4 Glock 21 FDE. Abd stumbled upon the 30 round kriss super v magazine. It uses a factory 13 round glock mag and they installed their extension on it at the factory and sell it for $60 or $70 (cant remember). So anyway I ordered one up and finally got it UPS today, started to load er up and only got 28 rounds in, and believe me the 27th and 28th rounds were the hardest I've ever loaded in a mag. I almost broke my thumb on the 28th! I tried to insert the mag but it wouldn't click in the frame, it was just too full but it worked with 27+1. To get to the point I'm just letting everyone know that if they order a 30 round kriss mag for their glock 45acp don't expect to get a 30 rounder, you get a 27 rounder. Its a great mag other than that, no issues or FTF, ect. Sorry for the rambling lol.

I had the same problem with Colt and Mecgar 8 rd 1911 mags. I could get the 8th rd in the mag, but I couldn't get the mag in the gun. Believe me, I tried. Fast forward 3-4 months, and they finally were able to seat.

So don't give up yet. :)

Also, with the big doublestack magazines, I've heard the trick is to rap the magazine straight down on the floorplate, against a table, when the going gets tough. Apparently, this helps any kinked up coils to nest the way they're supposed to. With a spring that long, you might get a loop out of whack, and forcing rounds in just traps it and leaves it no way to unkink. Maybe take one round out, rap a few times, then proceed, rapping after each round.

Thanks for the pointers. I figure after using it for awhile it'll loosen up a bit and work with all 30. Its not like I need a 30 round mag but its nice not having to reload as often.

I've noticed a lot of stock Glock mags are like that, really hard to fully load brand new but leave them loaded for a few days and they're fine. I bet Kriss puts a strong spring in their modded mags in an attempt to keep them reliable.

So I suspect if you leave it loaded for a little bit you'll be able to load all 30 rounds without a problem. Might also save your thumbs a bit to buy a decent mag loader.

Yeah I usually toss my mag loaders I get with glocks because I usually don't need them. I can load up new glock mags, and most other's, just fine but this one is STIFF

I quit using my thumbs for mag loading when I discovered Uplula. FWIW, I never could get my KRISS setup to work. Several other posts on forums like this from guys' having the same problems.

Ah ha good reviews on that mag loader floating around on the net. I'm going to order one if i can't get my kriss mag to loosen up a bit. I usually can just use my thumbs for any mag I've used until now. I may take it apart and make sure the spring isn't kinked and everything is put together right.

The upLula is a great product. I don't know why someone didn't come up with it sooner. It was invented by a father son team from Israel. I won't live without one now. I keep one in the range bag at all times.
