Labgrade - RMGO announces his passing!

This is a funny thing for me. I haven't cried since last year, and I never met nor truly knew labgrade. But still, I find myself with tears in my eyes.

THR is a family bound together by a common belief in freedom and the RKBA, a bond that often feels stronger than blood. I think all of us have lost a brother now, and our hearts will miss him, but he'll never really be gone so long as The High Road thrives.

Rest in peace, Mr. Albertus.

After years of reading his posts, I looked forward to meeting labgrade at the Colorado THR get together at Larry’s last year. I spent a lot of time talking to Al and Crystal and really enjoyed their company. Although we probably didn’t agree on everything, Al had my utmost respect. I am very sorry to learn of his passing, and I consider myself fortunate to have had the opportunity, however brief, to visit with the man in person. The THR extended family has suffered a great loss. Rest in peace, friend.

Was always good to share a thread with labgrade. Something special happened whenever he added his thoughts.

Tears.

Loss.

Bye, labgrade...

THR had been off for a couple days and I had been working 72 hours of overtime, so I hadn't thought about this for awhile. When THR came back up and I saw this thread again, I was just as upset about it the second time.

Owhell! Spit! Yes, and weep!

He was one of the people here I strove to imitate, not always successfully. He was smarter than I, knew more than I, wrote better than I, was wittier than I without being a smartarse. Lord, I'll miss him.

Requiascat in Pacem.

I have put together a page for labgrade that has links for more information regarding his untimely passing.
