Horrible news...

Hi All-

Such a sad story...

Many people only knew of labgrade/Al via The High Road, Free Republic, and The Firing Line online forums. Hopefully this "virtual presence" of THOUSANDS of people who are "there for them" will help buoy his family during this difficult time.

What a fine memorial to Labgrade's memory this thread has been! Truly a testament to a good life that his passing has affected so many, and also a testament to the fine character of this on-line community. A man could do far worse than to be remembered so fondly by so many after his passing.

Truly sad news. Quite a shock.

I just logged in after being offline for a few days and saw this thread. I didn't know him personally but we traded a few posts here in there. Still he felt like part of the family. A brother in arms so to speak.

Prayers for strength and comfort to his family.

We'll be there.
Wish I could, but with May upon us, I can't. Busiest time of the year in my industry, with the end of school and all. I missed my own grandad's funeral in 1985 because it was in May.

Zak and Jim, please give my regards to Crystal and Shane. I would appreciate it.

I hadn't planned on packing heat. Would that be appropriate? How would the church feel? I don't have a license as NE has no provision for CCW. I would have to open carry in a church if that is what is planned. What does the family say?

Any advise on this? Anyone?
