Ladies - need help for my wife : CC

My wife now has her CHL. She has a Beretta PX4 Storm full size in 9mm that she shoots well. I am trying to talk her into something a little more concealable.

I am at a loss to help her with recommendations for concealed carry. Me, I wear bigger sized pants to accommodate an IWB as needed. Or an OWB with a t-shirt and unbuttoned long tail shirt.
I just don't see my wife doing such a thing - her jeans are painted on if you know what I mean. And she always has to look sharp and won't skimp on her dress.

Keep in the purse??? OWB with a sweater or shirt out????

What method of CC do you ladies prefer. Thanks for the help.

It is the best shooting, most concealable sub-compact pistol I have ever shot.

It's light, accurate, easy to use, and very concealable.

My wife also carried an NAA .32. It is our smallest pistol in our collection. Too small for me to shoot, but she doesn't mind it. The NAA has a long trigger pull though.

I have a friend that has a perminently closed bifold purse with a built in holster in the fold. The purse was built that way. She just reaches into the fold to extract the pistol.

I'm not sure what she carries, I've only seen it once, but it is not small. Her husband and boys all have Smith wheel guns, but her's was an auto.

My wife has great success carrying a Taurus M85 .38 special snubby.

Pm9 in a tuckable holster the thinner the better on the holster.
Either that or go something like a LCP or P3AT (Iwb) as most womens
pockets wont work well for pocket carry if they wear jeans.

gist is this, let her buy it, your job is to hold her purse while she fondles the gun and provide the cash when she buys.

Shadow I believe the OP was talking about carry POSITIONS not which gun to buy. Personally (not being a woman myself) I would suggest a shoulder rig. Or you could try a small of the back holster, I know most people (including myself) would not suggest it but if it works use it.

Although my best suggestion is try to convince her to look at a smaller firearm. Bring her to a range and let her try out a few of the pocket gun (Sig p232, FEG PA-63, the Wasp, etc) because quite frankly if she wont change her dress then the best thing for her to carry would be a pocket pistol in a good pocket holster.

Read this thread, it's about how a lady can conceal and has some good links, and points out, that ladies have some anatomy that can get in the way of a shoulder holster.

I would rather have her keep the one she shoots well in her purse than have her get a smaller one to accommodate fashion.

Ladies can carry IWB...My wife carries an XD 45c that way.

Being the good ole country girl that she is...blue jeans and a tee shirt is about as dressed up as she gets (and I like it that way)


FWIW...I think carrying in a purse is a bad idea! (whats the first thing a mugger grabs?)

Purses aren't ideal,but some womens' wardrobe and circumstances leave little choice. Everyone needs to worry about retention regardless of what they carry or where they carry it.
