I've used this stuff and had a bottle of it sitting around for some time. The recipe I used mentioned warming it up, which I did and it all dissolved, and still does to this day (probably 3-4 years old) But as it cooled off and sat around a portion of the lanolin has dropped out.
My question is, how do the store bought solutions keep lanolin in suspension on the shelf? Is there mixture ratio alot higher.. say 16:1 or more? Is the 10:1 recipe actually a super dose sized amount that is not necessary? Can you add something to the mixture so it stays in suspension without warming it up?
